1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of grace-grit.org. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Who we are

Grace & Grit is a faith-based nonprofit ministry that organizes mission trips for adult travelers.

3. Who may use this site

This site and our trips are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 to submit a form, donate, make a purchase, or register for a trip. By doing so, you confirm you are 18 or older.

4. Using the site

You may use the site for its intended purpose: learning about the ministry, contacting us, supporting our work, and registering for trips. You agree not to:

• Use the site unlawfully, or to harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
• Submit false information, or impersonate another person.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts, or data.
• Interfere with the site's operation, or introduce malicious code.
• Scrape or harvest content or personal information from the site.
• Use our content commercially without our written permission.

5. Trip enquiries and participation

Information on this site about trips, destinations, and dates is provided for general guidance and may change. Submitting an enquiry does not reserve a place on a trip and does not create a booking. Trips are subject to availability, and we may decline any application at our discretion.

If you go on to register for a trip, that participation is governed by a separate agreement and waiver that you will sign. Those documents cover the trip itself — payment terms, cancellation, conduct, assumption of risk, and the rest. Where those documents and these Terms conflict, the trip agreement governs the trip.

6. Donations

Donations made through this site support the ministry's work. Details on processing, receipts, tax treatment, and refunds are in our Donation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Unless a gift is designated for a specific campaign, we apply donations where the need is greatest. Where a campaign is over-subscribed or cannot proceed, we may redirect gifts to a similar purpose consistent with our mission.

7. Shop purchases

Items bought through our shop are produced and shipped by third-party providers. Availability, pricing, shipping times, and returns are covered in our Donation & Refund Policy. Purchases made through our Etsy storefront are additionally subject to Etsy's own terms.

We try to keep pricing and product information accurate, but errors happen. If we discover a material error in an order, we may cancel it and refund you in full.

8. Content you submit

If you send us a story, testimony, photograph, or other material — for example through our gratitude or story forms — you keep ownership of it. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display it in our ministry communications, including on this website, in our newsletter, and on social media.

By submitting, you confirm the material is yours to share, that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that anyone identifiable in a photograph has agreed to appear. You can ask us to stop using your submission at any time, and we will do so going forward, though we may not be able to recall material already printed or distributed.

We may decline to publish, or remove, any submission at our discretion.

9. Our content and trademarks

The text, photographs, video, design, and other material on this site belong to Grace & Grit or our licensors, and are protected by copyright. Grace & Grit and the Grace & Grit logo are our trademarks.

You may view and share our content for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution. You may not reproduce it commercially, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.

10. Links to other sites

This site links to sites we do not control, including our payment processor, our Etsy storefront, and partner organizations. We are not responsible for their content, practices, or policies. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them.

11. Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that information on it is complete or current. Travel information, including anything about destinations, health requirements, or entry rules, is general and may go out of date. Always confirm current requirements with official sources before you travel.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Grace & Grit and its directors, officers, staff, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this site, including lost data or lost profits, even if we were advised such damages were possible.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of this site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100), or the amount you paid us through the site in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

This section concerns the website. Liability relating to trip participation is addressed in the trip agreement and waiver.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Grace & Grit and its directors, officers, staff, and volunteers from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your misuse of the site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of anyone else's rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or your use of the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Changes take effect when posted, and the date at the top of this page will be updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
